Hello! My name is Whittney Hooks, and I am so excited to join the TCCS family as the 7th and 8th grade ELA teacher! I am a graduate of Edinboro University, with degrees in Literature and Theatre, a minor in Art History, and a post-Bacc. teaching certification in English. I have been a middle school teacher for 14 years, teaching both English and Theatre in Virginia's public schools, as well as a theatre director for both middle and high school. I am glad to be able to come home to western PA with my husband (who is also a teacher!) and 3 year old son, Drew. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, camping, and exploring National Parks with my family. I am ready to have a great year, and read some great books with some great kids!
